PROJECT SUMMARY
Conceived an award-winning shopper marketing campaign strategy and in-store displays telling Samsung’s Winter Olympics story, whilst also highlighting the relevance of Samsung products to a younger shopper. Giving shoppers a compelling reason to enter the store and find out more.
- The promotion involved giving away custom snowboards designed by Vexta, a well-known street artist. Her strong-coloured geometric patterns inspired the window display, snowy landscapes and digital displays.
RESULT: The popularity of Samsung’s sponsored Winter Olympics athletes was peaking at the time. The use of these assets created a strong sense of familiarity with passing traffic, giving potential customers a compelling reason to purchase NOW versus price-driven competitors.
The Cheil team won bronze at the annual Australian POPAI awards, and for the promotional period, the Samsung Experience Store in Sydney experienced a 33% sales increase.
